About the exploration

Starting with research I gathered from analytics and Hotjar data, a report was created to share with the digital design team for the rebrand of the homepage for Bankrate. The team had access to heat maps, user feedback, click through rates, user journeys and personas to start their exploration. I lead the team through several exercises and critiques to expand the work that was already in motion for the rebranding of the Bankrate website. What you will see here are my personal designs.

Research

I originally set out to investigate user clicks with heat maps and scroll data. The information that was uncovered showed that users were getting stuck at the top of the page because of the design elements and missing the helpful links that existed elsewhere.

The Starting point

Starting with the mobile design, I wanted to layout the Bankrate content that had the highest user interaction rates, as well as, surfacing tools and educational materials that were suggested from user feedback that matched with site analytics.

The rebrand is currently in development.
